Oxygen Focusing on Local Sales

Oxygen Media announced that it has more than doubled its
insertable-subscriber count to nearly 3 million since last March.

Its 1.4 million-subscriber uptick has come with the recent additions of such
systems as Cox Communications Inc. in Orange County, Calif., and AT&T
Broadband in Denver, Dallas and Salt Lake City.

This means 20 percent of Oxygen's base can now be targeted for local
advertising sales, according to senior vice president of affiliate relations
Mary Murano.

In a related move, Murano also announced that former national sales manager
Michelle Niven has become Oxygen's director of local ad sales. Prior to Oxygen,
Niven was a sales manager at Cox CableRep in Baton Rouge, La. (formerly AT&T
Media Services).
