Oxygen Makes Show-Related Job Cuts

Oxygen Media has gone through yet another round of layoffs, letting go
roughly 5 percent of its staff, officials said Thursday.

The women's network laid off 24 employees, most of whom had been involved in
the production of Pure Oxygen, according to a spokeswoman.

The reorganization came because that flagship series, effective January,
began airing one hour per day, five days per week, a switch from its former
schedule of 90 minutes per show, four days per week.

Oxygen has had a number of staff cuts, trimming 80 employees, or roughly 14
percent of its staff, back in October.
