Oxygen Media has hired Galen Jones as senior vice president of research.
In his new post, Jones will support Oxygen president Jason Klarman in marketing, digital and new media business development and sales. He will provide business intelligence analysis to build consumer engagement, strengthen advertiser partnerships and maximize revenue across all Oxygen Media platforms.
Jones will also report to Tony Cardinale, executive vice president of brand planning and strategic Insights for NBCU Entertainment and Digital Networks and Integrated Media.
Most recently working as a consultant, Jones has a wide-ranging professional background and hands-on experience with launching and developing digital media and television businesses. Research has figured prominently throughout his career that has included stints at Comedy Central, AOL and Court TV.
