Oxygen Media Monday named Gerry Logue as its new vice president and creative director and Barbara Shornick as its new vice president of sales and marketing.
Both announcements were made by Jane Olsen, Oxygen’s senior vice president of marketing and brand strategy.
Network officials said Logue will provide the creative vision and leadership toward the overall brand mission for both Oxygen's in-house creative departments and external agencies; develop creative strategies to support Oxygen Media across all platforms; and serve as a key member of Oxygen's marketing team.
Shornick will be responsible for leading the development of innovative multiplatform sales initiatives. She will work closely with the sales team to further propel Oxygen as an innovative and client-focused partner, lead the long-term marketing strategy and oversee the development of Oxygen's multi-platform initiatives, including product integration, promotions and sponsorships, Oxygen officials said.
"Gerry and Barbara bring an incredible amount of skill and expertise to the marketing arm of Oxygen," Olson said in a statement. "They are both bold, fresh thinkers whose proven track records will help us bring our 'live out loud' brand to a whole new level."
Prior to Logue's appointment, he founded and led a branding and lifestyle consulting company.
Shornick joins Oxygen Media with four years of marketing consulting experience and before that served as the vice president of marketing for Imaginova Corporation, where she developed and implemented all marketing initiatives for the company.
