Manny Pacquiao's pummeling of Antonio Margarito on Nov. 13 at Cowboys pounded out some 1.15 million pay-per-view buys.
The lopsided bout generated some $64 million in PPV revenue, according to HBO PPV. The totals should grow as the final numbers are reported.
The 32-year-old Pacquiao, who said he is interested in fighting for three more years, has now rung up 1 million-buy bouts in three consecutive years: his Dec. 6, 2008 destruction of Oscar De La Hoya, which sent the Golden Boy into ring retirement, generated 1.25 million buys on 2008 and $70 million, while his 12th-round knockout of Miguel Cotto on Nov 14, 2009 also jabbed 1.25 million buys translating into $70 million in PPV revenue.
Pacquiao's early other 2010 fight against Joshua Clottey at Cowboys Stadium on March 13, generated 700,000 buys and $35.4 million in PPV dollars.
The Nov. 13 card was the second biggest boxing card of the year behind the Floyd Mayweather-Shane Mosley match, which generated 1.4 million buys and $78.3 million in PPV revenue on May 1.
