NEW YORK-Cahners Television Group last week announced several organizational changes as part of its ongoing effort to position the group as the leading information provider serving the television marketplace.
editorial director and editor-in-chief Marianne Paskowski was appointed to the new position of editorial director for the Cahners Television Group, which includes Broadcasting & Cable, Cablevision
"Marianne's prior background within the broadcast and syndication markets, in addition to her tenure within the cable-television community, ideally suits her to the task at hand," group vice president Bill McGorry said in a statement.
Paskowski will report to group publisher Larry Oliver. Oliver is also a veteran of both the broadcast television and syndication markets, in addition to his role as publisher of MCN.

editor Harry Jessell will become editor-in-chief of B & C, succeeding Don West. West will become editor-at-large, completing the transfer of the magazine's editorial leadership to New York, initiated two years ago. He will continue his career-long association with the magazine, based in Washington.
