Pax Sets 'Major' Fall-Season Promo Plans

Pax TV announced Monday that it will support its fifth television season with
what it called various 'major' promotional efforts, under the 'Pax Premiere
2002' banner.

The network's media plans encompass radio, spot cable, online, outdoor and
print elements.

The 'Pax Premiere 2002 Sweepstakes' will be plugged by Yahoo! TV,
Entertainment Weekly, 30 local radio stations and 70 cable systems within the
top 50 DMAs.

Grand prize will be a $25,000 shopping spree and 14 secondary wardrobe
prizes, all from retailer Dress Barn.

Moreover, the eight-page Pax Premiere 2002 program guide will be inserted
into Entertainment Weekly's fall preview issue and also distributed at 750
stores in the Dress Barn chain.

That guide will include details on the sweepstakes plus a Dress Barn
coupon.

Pax also will back 'The Chance of a Lifetime Sweepstakes' and a philanthropic
campaign in association with McDonald's Corp.'s Ronald McDonald House Charities;
that will run through Sept. 17.

Pax also has been supporting that with spots calling attention to
free-standing inserts in newspapers on Sunday Sept. 15. McDonald's also support
with tray liners, posters and Happy Meal bags.

That contest's four grand prizes will include trips to Hollywood to appear on
Pax's Candid Camera series and gift certificates to Spa Wish.com.

On radio, Pax TV will sponsor 'Clear Channel's Million Dollar Giveaway' on
more than 1,100 Clear Channel radio stations.

All told, that contest will be promoted with 1.6 million announcements
between Sept. 16 and Nov. 1, Pax estimated.
