Pax TV has picked up an additional nine episodes of original, new one-hour
dramatic series Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, starring deaf actress Deanne Bray,
bringing the full episode commitment to 22.
The series' debut Oct. 13 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. marked the network's
highest-rated premiere this season. Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye has continued as
a weekly series Sundays from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. following fellow Pax hit
The action-drama series is inspired by the life of its title character, who
was profoundly deaf from the age of 18 months. Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye is
believed to be the first TV series created about the experiences of a deaf
person with its lead character portrayed by a deaf actor.
In the series, Thomas overcomes significant obstacles to work surveillance
for the FBI. Initially headed for a dead-end job in fingerprinting, her
lip-reading skills come to the attention of an FBI agent and she is promoted to
the elite surveillance team.
