Paxson Communications Corp. announced Monday that its Washington, D.C., Pax
TV station will broadcast 56 Baltimore Orioles games during the 2003 Major
League Baseball season.
Under the terms of the exclusive multiyear broadcast agreement, the Orioles
broadcast schedule on WPXW TV-66 will kick off opening day, Monday, March 31 at
3 p.m., when the Orioles host the Cleveland Indians.
Games will be produced by the Orioles Television Network, with play-by-play
voice Michael Reghi and color analyst Jim Palmer calling the action. A second
analyst has yet to be named.
"We have a commitment at Pax to focus on family entertainment, and baseball
is clearly America's favorite pastime," Paxson president and chief operating
officer Dean Goodman said in a release.
"We're delighted to team up with the Orioles Television Network to promote
the team on our Washington, D.C., Pax station," he added.
