PBS Show Latest to Go HD

PBS' The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer is the latest to go high-definition,
signing a deal with HDNet to produce international reports in the format,
starting with a special report on the Mexican drug war.

The first segment of that special report will air Wednesday on DirecTV Inc.'s
channel 199. Correspondent Jeffrey Kaye will examine the Mexican government's
attempt to crack down on its booming drug trade.

'Given HDNet's experience in capturing stunning images in high-definition, we
were delighted to collaborate on this important story and look forward to
working together again on other international reports,' NewsHour
executive producer Lester M. Crystal said.
