PCT International, a manufacturer of optical and RF access network solutions for cable networks, has appointing Mike Sparkman as executive vice president of worldwide sales.
Sparkman, who has been in the cable telecommunications industry for more than 25 years, most recently was vice president worldwide sales for Aurora Networks, a supplier of optical-networking solutions. Previously, he had founded and served as president of Broadband Services Inc. (BSI), a provider of asset management, logistics, installation and repair services for the cable telecommunications industry.
He spent 17 years at Antec -- now part of Arris Group -- in several executive posts, including senior vice president of international operations and senior vice president of sales for the company's network transmission division. From 1997 to 2000, he was CEO of Itochu Cable Services.
PCT, based in Tempe, Ariz., has more than 1,500 employees.
