Comcast Corp. said Monday that it has launched digital-video-recorder service on its systems in southeast and central Pennsylvania, New Jersey and northern Delaware.
The MSO added that its DVR is compatible with both standard-definition and HDTV signals.
The DVR service is available to Comcast Digital Cable customers for $9.95 per month, with no upfront equipment charge.
“DVR, combined with [Comcast] On Demand, gives new meaning to 'TV schedule' as TV now accommodates an individual's schedule,” Comcast Eastern division president Michael Doyle said in a prepared statement. “This is a new level of flexibility and value that satellite cannot match.”
