Pennsylvania's Blue Ridge Calls ITV Play For Football

Blue Ridge Communications, the 19th-largest U.S. cable operator, has launched the My Football Tracker interactive TV application developed by FourthWall Media for tracking National Football League players and teams.
The app is written to CableLabs' Enhanced TV Binary Interchange Format specification and runs on FourthWall's EBIF user agent and headend platform.
According to FourthWall, other operators plan to launch the EBIF football app this NFL season, but the company did not identify them. In 2007, Time Warner Cable rolled out the company's interactive fantasy-football tracker in five markets.
Blue Ridge is making My Football Tracker available to all digital subscribers for no additional charge. With the push of one button on the remote, viewers can see up-to-the-minute scores and stats of individual NFL players as well as their fantasy rosters, as well as player and team weekly and year-to-date stats.
Palmerton, Pa.-based Blue Ridge provides service in northeastern and southeastern Pennsylvania. It counts 174,000 basic cable subscribers.
