Office Depot Inc. is getting into the broadband business.

The office-supply chain will begin selling high-speed broadband from Comcast
Corp., EarthLink Inc. and America Online Inc., among others, in its 820
nationwide stores.

The Comcast link is specific to 100 Office Depot stores in the 26 states
where the MSO offers high-speed service.

Office Depot has a similar deal with EarthLink, selling that Internet-service
provider's high-speed service in EarthLink coverage areas. EarthLink also has
cable deals with AT&T Broadband and Time Warner Cable.

Office Depot is using DigiTerra Inc.'s 'Broadband Compass' software to help
consumers locate the high-speed providers in their area. Consumers enter home
ZIP codes in Office Depot kiosks, which prompts a list of area broadband
ISPs.
