Avi Saxena has joined Discovery Inc. in New York as chief technology officer, direct-to-consumer. He comes from Amazon, where he had been VP of technology for Amazon Marketplace.

ENTERTAINMENT ONE

Entertainment One has elevated Tara Long to president, global unscripted, television. She joined eOne in 2012 to launch the company’s U.S. unscripted programming business.

NICKELODEON

Paul DeBenedittis has been named executive vice president, programming and content strategy at Nickelodeon. He comes from Disney Channels Worldwide, where was senior VP, programming strategy.

PEACOCK PRODUCTIONS

Andy Berg was named head of development for NBC News’ in-house production studio Peacock Productions. He previously served as a development and talent consultant for National Geographic Channel.

VICE

Danny Gabai was elevated to executive vice president, head of Vice Studios U.S., with oversight for Vice Media’s production arm. He had been executive creative director of Vice Studios from its inception.

WHEELHOUSE

Julie Souza has joined Wheelhouse Entertainment in Los Angeles as chief operating officer. The former ESPN exec joins Wheelhouse from sports technology and NBA analytics partner Second Spectrum.

Also at NICKELODEON, Paula Kaplan, executive vice president of talent and development, Viacom Digital Studios, will expand her role to oversee talent. She adds the title of executive VP, talent and development at the kids’ network.
SHOWTIME NETWORKS has elevated Gary Levine and Jana Winograde to co-presidents of entertainment. Levine had been head of original programming; Winograde was head of business operations, West Coast. Also, Showtime elevated Amy Israel to executive vice president of scripted programming, and Vinnie Malhotra to executive vice president of nonfiction programming.
Also at WHEELHOUSE ENTERTAINMENT, Jerry DiMeglio was named chief financial officer; Kristin Welton was tapped as SVP, marketing, events and brand partnerships; Fanny Baudry was named vice president of business development, West Coast; and Michael Salerno was tapped as vice president, business development, East Coast.
