Nigel Gaines was upped to chief financial officer at BBC Worldwide North America in New York. He had been senior VP, finance.

CROWN MEDIA

Josie Medina was named vice president, digital, at Crown Media Family Networks, based in Studio City, Calif., and responsible for operations and Web content development for the programmer’s digital extensions. She comes from NBCUniversal, where was VP of entertainment marketing, digital.

GOLF

Golf Channel has added Tom Engle as coordinating producer for daily morning lifestyle and news program Morning Drive. He comes from ESPN, where he was co-producer of football College GameDay and lead producer of basketball College GameDay.

SUMMIT BROADBAND

Orlando, Fla.-based Summit Broadband has tapped Peter Murray as director of carrier services. The 30-year telecom veteran comes from Wireless Access Communications, where he was GM of wireless solutions.

Also, Thomas Foster has joined Summit as director of technical operations, based in the Southwest Florida office. The 15-year veteran has worked at Cisco Systems and Time Warner Cable.

TURNER

Turner Broadcasting System’s ad-sales division has elevated Dan Riess to executive vice president, integrated marketing and branded content, based in New York. The 15-year veteran had been senior VP, integrated marketing, for Turner Entertainment Ad Sales Marketing.

Also, Turner has named Stephano Kim as senior vice president, ad operations and chief data strategist for the ad sales division. He had been an adviser, investor and operator for early-stage data and technology companies.

WINDSTREAM

Little Rock, Ark.-based Windstream Communications has named Sarah Day senior vice president, small and medium sized business sales and marketing. She had been Windstream’s VP, consumer marketing.
