Comedy Central has promoted Ian Friedman to vice president, original programming and development, based in Santa Monica, Calif. He had been director of development of original programming.

THE KSW AGENCY

Advertising and public-relations executives Barry Kluger, Rob Snyder and Deborah Wagner have formed The KSW Agency, a full-service agency in Scottsdale, Ariz. Kluger is a former Prodigy and MTV Networks executive who most recently was managing director of knoodle PR.

NBCUNIVERSAL

Meara Abramson Valenzuela was upped to senior vice president, planning and strategy, Hispanic Enterprises and Content, based in New York. She had been VP, advertising sales planning.

PIVOT

Kent Rees has been named general manager of Pivot, the Participant Mediaowned network aimed at millenials. He is the former executive vice president of marketing at Current TV and was an executive at IFC.

SONAR

Tom Patricia has joined Los Angeles-based Sonar Entertainment as senior vice president, limited series, miniseries and movies. He had most recently been a consultant to Lionsgate Entertainment.

WE TV

Suzanne Gladstone Murch was elevated to vice president, original programming at WE tv, overseeing all unscripted production. She had been executive producer.

Also, David Stefanou has joined WE tv as vice president, development. He comes from True Entertainment, where he led the company’s foray into scripted programming and oversaw unscripted development.

WINDSTREAM

Tony Thomas has been named president and CEO of Little Rock, Ark.-based Windstream Holdings. He had been its president of real estate investment trust (REIT) operations.

VIMN

Viacom International Media Networks in Miami has tapped Larissa Zagustin as senior vice president, general counsel. She had been deputy general counsel, vice president-international business and legal affairs for Viacom International.
