A+E Networks has tapped Robert Sharenow as executive vice president and general manager of its A&E and Lifetime networks. He had been executive VP and GM of Lifetime since June 2013.

DISNEY

Sean Cocchia has advanced to executive vice president, business operations and general manager, Disney Channels Worldwide. He had been senior VP, business operations and GM since 2001.

LEGENDARY

Legendary Television in Burbank, Calif., has named Lauren Heller Whitney as president of scripted television. A veteran television agent, she comes from WME, where she represented writers and producers and specialized in the development of intellectual property.

NAMIC

Daija Arias has joined the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications in New York as vice president, marketing and development. She comes from RCN International Distribution, where she was tasked with expanding the company’s portfolio in the U.S., Latin America and Europe.

POP

Brad Schwartz was elevated to president of Pop, the CBS- and Lionsgate-owned cable network formerly known as TVGN. He had been president, entertainment and media at the network.

RENTRAK

Carol Davidsen has joined Portland, Ore.- based audience-measurement firm Rentrak as vice president of political technology. She most recently served with Obama for America, the 2012 re-election campaign of President Obama, as director of integration and media targeting.

SHOWTIME

Showtime Networks has added Craig Platt as senior vice president, creative advertising, based in New York. He comes from mOcean, a creative advertising agency specializing in movie trailers and TV commercials.

Also, Emily Gould was upped to senior vice president, consumer marketing, from VP, program marketing and advertising.

STARZ

Alison Hoffman was upped to executive vice president, marketing, at Starz, based in the company’s Beverly Hills, Calif., office. She had been senior VP, originals marketing.
