Sergei Kuharsky has joined BBC Worldwide North America as senior vice president of strategy and business development. He comes from Scripps Networks Interactive, where he was general manager of Food Network.

C-SPAN

Richard Weinstein was named vice president of digital media at cable public-affairs network C-SPAN. He had been managing editor, responsible for overseeing daily event coverage and production.

Also, C-SPAN elevated Ben O’Connell to succeed Weinstein as managing editor. He had been managing producer of events.

And Professor Robert X. Browning was promoted to executive director of the C-SPAN Archives at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

DISNEY/ABC TELEVISION

Jane Gould has been named senior vice president, consumer insights for the cable team at Disney/ABC Television Group. She comes from Viacom, where she was senior VP, Research and Insights, MTV Group.

Also, Elizabeth Sloan was upped to senior vice president, consumer insights for the broadcast/studio team at Disney/ABC Television Group. She was VP, research and brand strategy.

DISNEY JUNIOR

Joe D’Ambrosia was upped to senior vice president of original programming at Disney Junior. He had been VP and will continue to oversee production of series such as Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

ENDEMOL SHINE

Tamaya Pettaway has been promoted to senior vice president, brand and licensing partnerships at Endemol Shine North America. She had been senior VP, brand integrations and partnerships.

Also, Kelly C. Hill has joined ESNA as vice president of licensing partnerships. She comes from the National Hockey League, where she oversaw licensee product development.

ESPN DEPORTES

Freddy Rólon was elevated to vice president and general manager of ESPN Deportes. He had been VP of ESPN Deportes programming and business initiatives for the Spanish-language sports network since 2011.

METROLOGICAL

Greg Riker has been named Denver-based senior vice president, sales, Americas at Metrological. He comes from Arris, where he was senior VP, sales, cloud video solutions.

ROVI

Ted Schremp has joined interactive guide and video software maker Rovi as chief marketing officer, based in Wayne, Pa. He was CEO of Internet of Things startup Smart Home Ventures.

SONAR

David Ellender has been named president, global distribution and coproductions at Sonar Entertainment in Los Angeles. He had been CEO and board member of Slingshot Global Media, an independent TV studio he founded in January of 2014.

TELEMUNDO

Mara Arakelian has been named senior vice president of talent management at Telemundo, responsible for all NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises divisions. She comes from Bobo Producciones in Mexico, where she was management director.

VIACOM VELOCITY

Viacom Velocity, the programmer’s integrated marketing and creative content division, has named Chris Lenz as senior vice president, creative and production, and Danielle Della Corna-Kupchack as senior vice president, integrated marketing, co-heading a dedicated movie-studio group based in Los Angeles. Lenz is relocating from Viacom Velocity’s New York office, where he has worked since 2013.
