New York-During a session at the Association of National Advertisers' annual Television Forum here last Thursday, The Pillsbury Co. corporate media manager Hal Nitch said Nielsen Media Research' s plan to launch "People Meter" technology in Boston were "on hold."
Another attendee speculated that local stations there might not welcome a possible ratings decline. But a Nielsen spokeswoman said last Friday, "It' s definitely not on hold. We' re going forward. There was a delay in installation of homes by a couple of months, until September."
