mPhase Technologies Inc. announced the second-generation release of its “mPhase TV+ System” Monday.

The new version delivers 250 video-entertainment channels via digital subscriber line and includes an electronic programming guide through which subscribers can order premium time-shifted content provided through a Kasenna Inc. video server.

mPhase is providing subscribers with upgraded set-tops that enhance remote maintenance and operation for service-provider technicians.

It also upped the number of subscribers served by a Lucent Technologies “Stinger” digital-subscriber -line access multiplexer to 1,000.
