Pilgrim Studios to Launch Original Content Via Digital

Pilgrim Studios will turn to the web to create new original content under the 1620 Media digital platform.

The service will launch with six original short form series ranging from 15 seconds to five minutes, according to Pilgrim, which produces such non-fiction shows for cable networks as The Ultimate Fighter and Ghost Hunters. The content will touch numerous scripted and unscripted genres, including a comedy series featuring Barry Bostwick.

Following the launch of its six debut series, 1620 Media will release seven additional original shows throughout October and November, and will develop other series with notable talent from the sports, comedy and design worlds, said company officials.

“Pilgrim is always looking for new ways to produce and showcase quality content,” said Pilgrim Studios CEO Craig Piligian in a statement. “With 1620 Media, we’re exploring a lot of new territory and working with a wide range of talent to create sharp, entertaining short-form programming.”
