'In Plain Sight' In Albuquerque

Production has begun on the second season of USA Network original series In Plain Sight.

Work began this week on the 16-epsiode sophomore campaign in Albuquerque, where the show will be filmed on location.

In Plain Sight is cable's leading new drama of 2008. Its 12-episode rookie season averaged 5.33 million total viewers, including 2.66 million persons 25 to 54, 2.28 million persons 18 to 49, and 812,000 persons 18 to 34 on a live + seven-day basis, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Starring Mary McCormack, In Plain Sight centers on her character Mary Shannon, a U.S. Marshal working in the secretive branch of the witness protection program. Her charge: to safely relocate federal witnesses, both career criminals and innocent bystanders, with one common problem -- someone wants them dead, while simultaneously juggling her own dysfunctional family.
