Playboy Shoots New Comedy Series

Describing it a an X-rated version of NBC’s The Office and HBO’s Entourage, Playboy TV said it will debut Canoga Park, a new comedy series, Nov. 9. It will run a sneak preview of the show Friday night.

The adult programming network said the series – based on fictitious porn mogul Mitch Tanner and his “clueless crew at the American Insertion studios” – has the appeal of The Office and Entourage “with all the sexy elements for which Playboy TV is known.”

Canoga Park does for premium television what Boogie Nights did for film: give the viewer side-splitting joyride through the adult film world and an intimate look at the smokin’ hot characters who inhabit it,” Playboy TV said in a release.

The series features Andrea Lowell (VH1’s The Surreal Life, Playboy’s Sexcetera) Erika Jordan (Totally Busted) and guest star rocker C.C. DeVille (Poison, VH1’s The Surreal Life). The series is directed by Travis Draft.

Playboy said it will run a sneak preview of the program Friday, Nov. 2,

The series, running on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET, will join its new “Playboy Prime” schedule, which features short-form programming running from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
