Playboy TV Heads to Germany

Playboy TV International and Kabel Deutschland GmbH announced Monday that they will launch Playboy TV Germany.

Playboy TV Germany will launch as an English-language channel, adding German-dubbed programming over the course of its rollout, the two companies said.

The network will be part of KDG's new “Kabel Digital Home” package, and it will air nightly from 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m.

“Although German television viewers have enjoyed individual Playboy programs for years, we always sought to launch a branded Playboy TV channel in this progressive media market,” PTVI managing director Mark Rudolph said in a prepared statement.

"In Germany, Playboy is a household name and a well-known brand,” KDG CEO Roland Steindorf added. “Therefore, Playboy TV is a substantial enrichment for our new Kabel Digital Home package."

KDG serves nearly 10 million households in 13 German states.
