Cable Positive and Rainbow Media Holdings LLC want to “POP” AIDS.
The cable industry’s AIDS-action organization and the programmer will co-host the “Fifth Annual Cable Positive Positively Outstanding Programming Awards” Monday, June 5 at the IFC Center in New York.
The POP Awards recognize and honor exceptional original HIV/AIDS-related cable programming.
MTV led with seven POP Awards nominations, followed by Black Entertainment Television with six; VH1 with four; Logo and Viacom Inc. with three apiece; and one each for A&E Network, Discovery Channel and Discovery Times Channel.
