The Denver Chapter of Cable Positive raised $156,000 with its “Positively Cable ‘05/CSI: Broadband” event.
The sold-out show -- written and performed by industry volunteers and Rave Reviews -- “lampooned the cable industry (and the cellular industry, and anyone else they could think of!) in a murder mystery ripped from today's headlines (sort of),” the chapter said in a prepared statement.
The $156,000 topped last year's record of $144,200.
In addition to supporting the national Cable Positive organization, two local organizations will receive funding from the proceeds of this year's show -- the Rainbow House and Mi Casa's health education program.
