Comedian Dave Chappelle follows South Park on Comedy Central's
Wednesday-night lineup, and his Chappelle's Show has now followed Cartman
and crew into the network's record books.
Chappelle's Show scored the strongest first season for a Comedy original
series since South Park began in 1997-98, with a 3.8 household
Chappelle's Show averaged a 1.7 household rating and a 1.5 among adults
18 through 49 during its 12 premiere runs (ending April 16) at 10:30 p.m.
Additionally, the sketch and parody show registered a 5.0 rating among males
18 through 24 -- its strongest demo -- performed well with women and improved
viewership among African Americans.
