Michael Powell has told friends he’d like to resign as Federal Communications
Commission chairman by this fall, Time reported.
Three of Powell’s four top staff members have been putting out feelers for
new jobs, as well, Time added.
Texas Public Utility Commission head Rebecca Klein and Republican FCC
commissioner Kevin Martin are reportedly being eyed as replacements.
Susan Eid, Powell's top cable and broadcasting adviser, announced that she
was leaving the agency earlier this month.
