The combination of PrairieWave Communications and Black Hills FiberCom is now complete.
The $103 million deal, first announced April 20, was made official at the close of business Thursday, and the company will use the PrairieWave name going forward.
“This is a combination of two very strong companies that are leaders in competitive telecommunications, providing advanced broadband services to more than 60,000 customers,” PrairieWave chairman and CEO Craig A. Anderson said in a prepared statement.
“This transaction approximately doubles the size of our operations and enhances our focus on providing voice, video and broadband services to communities in South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa,” he added. “It also provides opportunities for us to bring new services to all of our community markets at competitive prices and with a continued high degree of service quality."
