Pre-Dawn Horror for USA

Universal Pictures' Dawn of the Dead opens in theaters Friday, March 19, but USA Network viewers can catch the first 10 minutes of the film four days earlier.

In what the studio called the "first-ever motion-picture and television event," USA will air the opening 10-minute sequence, completely uncut, near the end of its telecast of Final Destination, sometime between 10 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

USA and Universal strongly cautioned that the footage contains graphic violence and language consistent with the film's "R" rating, and they recommend that viewers exercise discretion before tuning in.

The remake of George Romero's 1978 horror classic stars Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, Jake Weber and Mekhi Phifer.
