'Pretty Little Liars' Winter Launch Sets Slew Of ABC Family Ratings Records

The winter season debut of Pretty Little Liars notched series highs in viewers and various demos, including ranking as ABC Family's second-best telecast ever among females 18 to 34 and 12 to 34.
The Jan. 3 airing averaged 4.2 million viewers, according to Nielsen data, including a 3.5 rating and 1.2 million females 18 to 34 and a 5.3 rating and 2.5 million females 12 to 34.
Moreover, the winter bow also set series highs among persons 18 to 34 (1.4 million/2.1 rating); adults 18 to 49 (1.9 million/1.5 rating); women 18 to 49 (1.6 million/2.4 rating); and viewers 12 to 34 (2.9 million/3.1 rating).
Monday's episode of Pretty Little Liars almost doubled its June 8, 2010 series launch among total viewers (4.2 million vs. 2.5 million); was up by 67% among adults 18 to 34 (1.4 million vs. 837,000); 72% among persons 18 to 49 (1.9 million vs. 1.1 million); and 70% among viewers 12 to 34 (2.9 million vs. 1.7 million).
The debut builds on a Nielsen 2010 that stood as ABC Family's most-watched year in primetime among total viewers (1.44 million), persons 18 to 34 (364,000), persons 18 to 49 (654,000) and viewers 12 to 34 (580,000), as well as across key female demos 18 to 34 (244,000), 18 to 49 (421,000) and 12 to 34 (398,000).
