Q Television Network will begin a 60-day road show March 21 in Palm Springs, Calif., at the Dinah Shore Golf Tournament and the White Party at the Riviera Resort, the network said Tuesday.
The gay- and lesbian-themed network’s programming will be viewable to those attending the weeklong festivities in Palm Springs via closed-circuit television channels, as well as at Q booths stationed at the various events. The booths will also allow interested subscribers to contact their local cable companies and request carriage of Q.
“We will continue our road show to 20 other major cities over the next two months to help increase our exposure to the GLBT [gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual] communities," Q CEO Frank Olsen said in a prepared statement. "Now is the time for Q Television to make everyone aware of its network. Our road show will coordinate with advertising in each city.”
