Q Television Network said Wednesday that it will move its main satellite connection from New Orleans to Fort Worth, Texas, following a deal with Firestone Communications Inc.
The gay- and lesbian-targeted network had been experiencing signal difficulties since launching on RCN Corp. Sept. 8.
“We sincerely apologize to our valued customers for the delay in programming,” Q CEO Frank Olsen said in a prepared statement. “The testing we did in August and early September was very successful, so weather-related problems are suspected.”
Firestone will redigitalize Q’s signal and send it through to RCN for uploading.
