HGTV Taps Henri As Top Programmer

New YorkHGTV has promoted Maddie Henri to vice president of original programming.

Henri, who joined the network in the spring of 2006, will provide leadership to the New York-based original-programming team while continuing to supervise some high-profile projects for HGTV, including Carter Can with Carter Oosterhouse and Guess What You’re Moving Out!

Court TV Pulls Plug On 'Catherine Crier’

New YorkCourt TV, which is getting a new name and programming makeover under Turner Broadcasting System, has brought the gavel down on Catherine Crier Live.

Crier’s last show will air April 27.

The justice network, which became fully owned by Turner last year, is in the process of evolving its programming. Crier has been a staple at Court TV for more than a half-dozen years, hosting and anchoring several different shows during that period.

“As part of Court TV’s rebranding strategy, we have decided not to renew the Catherine Crier Live show,” Court TV said in a statement. “The 5 p.m.-6 p.m. hour is slated to feature the type of real-life stories that have given our primetime lineup such strong ratings momentum.”

'Kimora’ to Get Real In New Style Series

Los Angeles — Style will debut reality series Kimora, featuring model-entrepreneur Kimora Lee Simmons, this summer.

Simmons, who took the world by storm when Karl Lagerfeld hand-picked her to model for Chanel at age 13, made “phat” a household word through her multimillion dollar fashion house, Baby Phat.

The show will depict Simmons balancing her dedication to her two daughters with philanthropic and social commitments.
