In a quick about-face, Rainbow Media Group has decided not to get involved in
boxing promoter Don King's Aug. 4 pay-per-view heavyweight-championship
card.

Rainbow and King were set to distribute and promote the event, which features
the rubber match between Evander Holyfield and John Ruiz, but Rainbow decided to
pull out of the deal late last Friday, citing an inability to settle on
nondisclosed terms.

'We spoke to Don King and told him it wasn't the right deal for Rainbow,' a
company spokeswoman said.

The fight would have been Rainbow parent Cablevision Systems Corp.'s first
distribution and promotional involvement in a PPV event since the 1992 'Olympics
TripleCast.'

It's unclear who King will partner with for the event. Representatives from
Don King Productions could not be reached for comment.
