Rather's 'Big Interview' Lines Up Heart

Dan Rather's The Big Interview series on AXS TV returns Tuesday, Oct. 20, with a schedule replete with well-known musicians, leading off with Ann and Nancy Wilson, the front women of the hitmaking (Crazy On You, Barracuda) band Heart. The following week, Rather interviews and profiles Patti LaBelle, the rhythm-and-blues legend (Lady Marmalade) who's also made her mark in acting with roles on series including Empire and American Horror Story.

Also appearing on The Big Interview this season: Allman Brothers Band founder Gregg Allman on Nov. 3; rocker Bryan Adams on Nov. 10; groundbreaking country music star Charley Pride on Nov. 17; filmmaker Quentin Tarantino on Nov. 24 and supermodel-turned-mogul Kathy Ireland on Dec. 1, "a World AIDS Day conversation about her close friend and business associate Dame Elizabeth Taylor and her crusade to galvanize international attention, research and treatment of HIV AIDS which has been marginalized as 'someone else’s problem,' ” AXS TV said.

“Over the course of three seasons, The Big Interview has given viewers an in-depth look at some of the biggest names in entertainment that they rarely get to see,” Michele M. Dix, AXS TV’s senior vice president, programming and development, said in a release. “With an eclectic roster featuring a wide variety of influential figures from all across the industry, the upcoming fall cycle promises to uphold the show’s legacy as Dan Rather seeks to uncover the people underneath the larger-than-life personalities, as only he can.”
