Ratings Go North for South Park


The premiere of the second half of South Park
's seventh season came up big for Comedy Central.

The episode, sending up "metrosexuals" and the gang from Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy
, scored a 2.65 household rating Oct. 22 from 10 p.m.-10:30 p.m. It also notched a 1.98 rating among adults 18-49 (2 million of those viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Comedy Central executives said that performance made the South Park
episode the highest-rated show on basic cable among adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and males 18-49.

Moreover, it was the highest South Park
in adults 18-49 since the series’ 100th episode (a 2.22) back in April.

The animated series will air seven more fresh episodes during the second half of its seventh season.
