RCN Corp. reported a second-quarter net loss of $126.4 million ($1.15 per
share), compared with the $202.1 million ($1.93) loss it reported during the
same period last year.
Revenue at the overbuilder increased 6.5% to $121.6 million from $114.3
million in the year-ago period.
RCN finished the quarter with 1,419,947 marketable homes and 462,953
customers on its network, of which 175,343, or 37.8%, were taking one of its
ResiLink customers ended the quarter with an average of 3.3 services,
including long-distance telephony, and $135 in monthly revenue.
Overall customer churn during the quarter was 2.5%.
