RCN Targets Hispanic Business-Services Customers

RCN is making its package of Hispanic-themed programming, MiVisión, or "my vision", available to its Business Services customers, officials said Monday.

The themed-programming packages include more than 30 Spanish-language channels and mirror what is currently available to RCN's residential customers.

"We are always looking for ways to better serve the needs of our clients and prospects," Brad Martin, senior director of business services marketing and operations, said in a statement. "Whether you own or run a small or large business, doctor or law office, beauty salon, restaurant, trading floor or auto shop, we can provide you with access to top-rated programming from every Spanish-speaking country in the world."


RCN's Business Services customers can select all of MiVisión's programming or choose one or more of the following four smaller subject-oriented programming packages:

* Paquete de Variedad, or "variety package", provides a varied collection of leading programming content. It includes 15 channels filled with movies, art, music, daytime dramas and news.

* Paquete de Países, or "countries package", provides a connection to a customer's homeland as well as the rest of the Latin world. It includes six leading channels broadcasted from different Latin countries.

* Paquete para Niños, or "kids package", provides content for children. It includes fivee channels of fun and educational shows suitable for children of all ages.

* Paquete de Deportes, or "sports package", provides the best in sports action. It includes four channels from recognized leaders in sports programming.
