Record Attendance for ACA Summit

The American Cable Association said Tuesday that 179 people attended its 12th Annual Washington Summit.

The small-cable-operator trade group said representatives from 52 independent cable companies were among the attendees at the event, being held Monday and Tuesday in Washington, D.C.

“The record-breaking attendance at this year’s Summit reflects the vital importance of having a strong, unified voice in Washington as Congress and the FCC [Federal Communications Commission] consider issues that directly impact independent cable operators and the consumers they serve,” ACA CEO Matt Polka said in a prepared statement.

The ACA also announced that next year’s Summit will be held May 8-9 in Washington.
