ReelzChannel To Deliver Movies On Demand Highlights

ReelzChannel will deliver monthly segments highlighting movies available to watch on Movies On Demand On Cable in partnership with the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing Co-op.

Movie reviews from ReelzChannel movie expert and Maltin on Movies host Leonard Maltin are featured in the segments sent to nearly 100 locations every month, including cable outlets, out-of-home networks, websites and magazines.

"Movies on Demand and REELZ are a perfect partnership for movie fans," network SVP of sales and distribution John deGarmo said in a release.

"At our core, REELZ has always been about connecting people to movies and with a trusted movie expert in Leonard Maltin sharing his recommendations it's a great way for people at home to find out about what's available for them to watch through Movies on Demand."

"2011 marks the second year of the Movies on Demand campaign, but the first with a spokesperson like Maltin," CTAM CEO Char Beales said in the release. "His authoritative voice and reviews of movies of all genres makes him a go-to source for film lovers everywhere, including those who enjoy watching movies in their own homes."

Many of the latest films available on Movies on Demand on cable are offered the same day as the DVD hits the streets, weeks before they can be rented via mail, kiosk or at the traditional video store and years before subscription streaming services.

Movies available throughout December featured in the current ReelzChannel segment include Cowboys & Aliens, Friends with Benefits, The Hangover IIMr. Popper's Penguins and The Smurfs.
