RFD-TV To Drop Flag On NASCAR Sponsorship

RFD-TV will rev up its first NASCAR-oriented marketing campaign when it begins sponsoring a car on the Nationwide circuit next weekend.

The network, which targets its programming at rural America, in association with Baker Curb Racing will sponsor car #37, driven by Brad Baker, at the NASCAR Nationwide Winn Dixie 250 from Daytona Speedway on July 4. The race will be carried live by ESPN2 at 7:30 p.m. (ET).

Officials say the sponsorship is aimed at further raising the profile of RFD and RFD HD and their availability to all cable operators. In addition to showcasing the network’s logo, the car will sport the names of series Crook & Chase, Ralph Emery Live and the Imus in the Morning simulcast.

Additionally, the race car will trumpet Music & Motors, which will meld Nashville music with NASCAR features when it debuts in September.

“We could not think of a better way to launch our new national advertising campaign than combining a car at Daytona on the Fourth of July with a national television audience,” said Patrick Gottsch, president and founder of RFD-TV, LLC, in a statement.
