Ridley Scott To Develop Sci-Fi Programming Block For TNT

TNT will add to its drama-based programming lineup with the development of a new sci-fi series from acclaimed director Ridley Scott, the network announced during the Turner upfront presentation Wednesday.

The series, Ridley Scott Presents, will feature a collection of sci-fi series from Scott, known mostly for his work on the Alien franchise, as well as theatrical films like Blade Runner and The Martian.

TNT president Kevin Reilly said the series would most likely run quarterly beginning in 2019.

In addition the network announced The Suspense Collection, a franchise of thriller/mystery projects that will launch with the Patty Jenkins-directed limited series mystery One Day She’ll Darken, as well as thriller Tell Me Your Secrets, starring Amy Brenneman and Lily Rabe.

Reilly also told reporters post upfront that the network has not made a decision on the fate of its drama series Good Behavior, adding that he hasn’t ruled out developing either a movie or finale episode to “properly bring it to a conclusion.”
