Rigas Gets Help with Legal Bills

Disgraced Adelphia Communications Corp. founder John Rigas won approval from
U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan to sell five properties in order to fund his
hefty legal bills, AP reported.

Rigas -- who is accused of looting Adelphia along with his sons, Timothy and
Michael -- will be allowed to sell an auto dealership and a single-family home
in rural Wellsville, N.Y.; timber on properties in Potter County, Pa.;
residential property in Daufuskie Island, S.C.; and commercial property in
Roslyn, N.Y.

Rigas' criminal trial is set to begin next year.
