Rigases’ Sentencing Delayed

U.S. District Judge Leonard Sand has delayed the sentencing of John and Timothy Rigas until Feb. 23, according to AP.

Adelphia Communications Corp.’s founder and former chairman and his son, the MSO’s former chief financial officer, were originally due to be sentenced in January.

John and Timothy Rigas were found guilty of 18 counts of fraud and conspiracy in July.

Sand granted the delay so that the government could continue discussing the issue of restitution with lawyers for the two former executives, AP reported.
