In Road Runner They ‘eTrust’

Time Warner Cable’s Road Runner high-speed-data service will begin offering Computer Associates International Inc.’s anti-virus and firewall software to its subscribers this week.

Under an agreement between the two companies, announced Tuesday, Road Runner subscribers can use CA’s "eTrust EZ Armor" antivirus and firewall desktop-security suite free-of-charge. The software normally retails for $49.95.

"We are pleased to be the first to provide broadband consumers with a residential broadband-security solution from a known software leader in the commercial environment," Road Runner president and Time Warner Cable Network Services executive vice president Jeff King said in a release.
