Cox Communications Inc. CEO Jim Robbins is scheduled to give the keynote address at a commercial services seminar the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing will host May 19.
The seminar will be held at the Sheraton Premiere in Vienna, Va. The theme of the forum: “Growing Portfolios. Growing Profits.”
“At last year’s Summit, Time Warner Cable chairman and CEO Glenn Britt, Adelphia chairman and CEO William Schleyer and analyst Doug Shapiro predicted cable’s commercial revenue would grow rapidly and could eclipse video revenue in the next decade,” CTAM president Char Beales said in announcing the seminar. “CTAM’s services to this sector were already in development, but we’ve stepped up the pace to serve the unique needs of this important group.”
CTAM said only members of the 2005 CTAM Corporate Fund are allowed to participate in Commercial Services activities.
The association said it also plans to distribute an electronic newsletter six times yearly, with content on best practices, research, Q&A features with industry executives involving commercial services; guest columns and a glossary of terms.
CTAM has also scheduled four relevant Webcasts, leading off on April 20 with “Do you know where your customers are?” -- about targeting and mapping strategies to identify and prioritize key customer clusters.
