Comcast Corp. CEO Brian Roberts said Monday that The Walt Disney Co. -- which turned down Comcast’s unsolicited offer -- was not a "must-have" acquisition, AP reported.
Speaking on a conference call, Roberts said, "We can create value at a faster rate for both companies. Is it something we have to do? No."
Disney has said no to Comcast twice, while the MSO has repeatedly countered that it won't increase its bid.
Roberts added later in the call, "If it happens, great. If it doesn't, life goes on. We're going to continue to stay focused and operate our core business."
