Robinson Finds Home at Tyco

Former Motorola Broadband Communications Sector president Dave Robinson has landed a new job with his old boss.

Robinson, who left the cable and electronics maker recently, has signed on as Tyco International Ltd.'s new president of the plastics and adhesives group.

The move reunites Robinson with his former Motorola boss, Tyco CEO Ed Breen.

Robinson's new duties will include overseeing the company's line of plastic film, molded products, adhesives and laminates, which Tyco sells in retail, industrial, automotive, agricultural, housing and food-packaging markets.

"I have worked closely with Dave Robinson for over 15 years, and I know that he is a proven leader with an outstanding track record," Breen said in a release. "He has a rare combination of strategic vision and practical day-to-day execution skill that will enable him to drive operational excellence throughout the business."
